The project

Rebranding, logo design, a new website and a Google My Business site for a family-run veterinary practice located in Karen, Nairobi.

After meetings with the client and and with the help of my branding tools, we came up with a tagline together and I developed a crisp colour palette that communicates professionalism and trust; along with a clean and simple brand typography.

Logo design

The logo that I designed includes a blue and white circular emblem which references the Caduceus vet symbol and incorporates the business name acronym. I flipped and modified the snake element of the original symbol to subtly echo the two instances of the letter ‘S’ in the SVS acronym.

As always, I supplied both a horisontal and a vertical version of the logo, another that has the company name inside the emblem, and finally an emblem-only version, which for example serves as the website favicon.

New website

The website was developed in close collaboration with the owners. I conducted interviews with all members of staff and shadowed vets to collect content and do all the photography for the site. I also got in touch with some customers and got hold of customer testimonies. Then I wrote the content, had it approved by the owners and developed the site in WordPress.

Google My Business

A Sercombe Veterinary Surgeons Google My Business listing was claimed and updated; and I corrected the Google Maps location too. The business description, opening times etc were updated and new photos added. I encouraged the business owners to actively ask customers for Google reviews.
